The Apocalypse
There is a convergence of events in and out of the Church. The Catholic Magisterium allows open Eschatological dialogue, with a few guideposts, to which we adhere. The 1994 Catechism is an infallible, magisterial and binding document which refers to a future Antichrist and persecution. (Cat 675) So Nero's Rome was just a foreshadowing of the Great Tribulation in Revelation, which we think is coming soon.
